India vs South Africa 2nd Test Day 1 Live: Rohit Sharma-led India face another difficult task in the second Test at Newlands, Cape Town as the visitors aim to bounce back in the final match. India are currently trailing South Africa 1-0 after an innings and 32 runs defeat in the first Test Centurion. The No. 1 Test side, India, had a horrible time in the first Test with both batters and bowlers struggling to put up a meaningful challenge. Apart from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, all the batters struggled in seaming and swinging conditions, while Prasidh Krishna and Shardul proved to be poor change bowlers.

In this aspect, it will be interesting to see the sort of changes Team India opts for in their playing XI for the Newlands Test, Prasidh Krishna had a difficult time on his Test debut and he could be dropped for Mukesh Kumar or Avesh Khan. Also, going out could be Ravichandran Ashwin who had very little to do in the first Test. Ravindra Jadeja has recovered from the back spasm and his batting gives him an edge over Ashwin. Shardul Thakur, however, is expected to stay in the playing XI as India have no other pace-bowling all-rounder.

South Africa are expected to make one change as Temba Bavuma will be missing due to an injury and Dean Elgar will captain the Proteas in his final Test.
